Case Study: Rebecca
Rebecca Blease, 20, after a shaky start, decided a new career move would be best for her. This change of direction took a big step forward when she embarked on her apprenticeship.
A New Exciting Move
After working with Jessica and Tammy at Knowsley Works, she was excited to start her apprenticeship at Keepmoat, Housebuilders.
She now works as an Apprentice Business Administrator. She enjoys her new responsibilities, which include taking phone calls, logging jobs, booking in appointments, updating and amending spreadsheets and sending letters. In addition to this, she studies at The NVQ Training Centre, where she will gain an NVQ in Business Administration Level 2.
She really enjoys her work, and knows she’s a valuable asset to the company whilst learning new skills. This knowledge has helped build her confidence.
Learning and Working
Rebecca really feels the benefit of being an apprentice is learning and working at the same time. She feels this real-life application helps her take in more of her studies, and she can apply her learned skills in a real working environment. She also feels she gets the support she needs, when required, to achieve as much as she can.
